Martin Kampmann received the 2025 Byers Award in Basic Science for his work on the basic mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases.
In his Byers lecture (watch here), he described his journey in science and how his lab tackles Alzheimer's disease and related dementias using unbiased CRISPR screening approaches.
The award will support new high risk, high reward research in the Kampmann lab.
