Education:

  • M.Sc. in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Heidelberg University, Germany (2022).
  • B.Tech In Vellore Institute of Technology, India (2020).

Previous research experience:

  • Dr. Alfred Goldberg's lab, Harvard Medical School, 2021-2023.
Identified proteins mediating increased ubiquitination and protein degradation upon activation of protein kinase A pathway.

  • Dr. Bernd Bukau's lab, Heidelberg University, 2020-2021.
Assessing the mechanism of regulation of bacterial protein disaggregases.

Research Interest:

A hallmark of several age-associated neurodegenerative diseases is the disruption of protein homeostasis in the cell, leading to the accumulation of misfolded proteins and protein aggregation. I am excited to learn more about the mechanism by which protein quality control systems in cells detect and respond to proteotoxic stress resulting from the accumulation of pathogenic proteins and how these processes contribute to the selective vulnerability of neurons in neurodegenerative diseases.

Interests:

I love playing soccer, badminton (and other sports), hiking, biking, and going out for good food and desserts.
