Education

B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior - University of California, Davis (2025)

Research Experience

  • Dr. Nitzan Shabek, UC Davis (2024 - April 2025)

Studied protein-small molecule interactions that regulate plant stress signaling by expressing, purifying, and crystallizing MLP328, a major latex protein-like family member genetically linked to cis-CA signaling in plants. Successfully achieved high-purity protein isolation, crystal formation and initiated structural studies to uncover mechanisms underlying drought resilience.

  • Dr. Carlito Lebrilla, UC Davis (2023 - 2024)

Conducted glycan-based biomarker studies on neuronal and cancer cells, with a focus on metabolic engineering through media supplementation.

Research Interests

I am highly interested in exploring all areas of protein and RNA biology and am especially excited to dive deeper into the molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases. I am particularly interested in understanding how tau aggregation and cellular responses contribute to AD. I hope to contribute to developing advanced functional genomics approaches to uncover new therapeutic strategies!

Other interests

I enjoy hiking, exploring new neighborhoods in the city, and trying lots of new food!
