Research Experience

  • Dr. Najla Kfoury-Beaumont, Dr. Thomas Beaumont, UC San Diego: September 2021 – June 2024
    • Used CRISPR to investigate BRD4-regulated genes that may contribute to sex-specific epigenetic differences in Glioblastoma cells, with the goal of developing sex-specific cancer therapies for brain cancer patients

    • Studied the effects of an Anti-MCT1 antibody targeting skin Autoimmune diseases primarily using live-cell microscopy and CD8+ T-cell migration assays

Research Interests

I am passionate about neurobiological processes and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s Disease, and am interested in exploring deeper into immunology. I am excited to study neuroimmune topics such as Microglia’s role and implications in AD! In the future, I also aim to treat patients clinically while doing research to bring benchside science to the bedside to cure diseases.

Interests and Hobbies

Outside of the lab, I enjoy playing badminton, trying new foods, grabbing endless cups of matcha lattes, traveling with family and friends, and taking memorable snaps with my Canon.
