Indigo Rose, Neuroscience student in the Kampmann lab, was awarded a graduate student fellowship from the UCSF Hillblom Center for the Biology of Aging and Bakar Aging Research Institute (BARI).
Indigo has pioneered new approaches for cell type-specific in vivo CRISPR-based screens in the mouse brain, and will apply them to uncover mechanisms regulate reactive states of astrocytes associated with aging and disease.
Earlier this year, Indigo was recognized with one of two best poster awards at the Gordon Research Conference on the Neurobiology of Brain Disorders (Castelldefels, Barcelona, Spain).
Congratulations, Indigo!
